Duties & Responsibilities

- Provide sincere, friendly, dedicated, professional, courteous, enthusiastic, and timely service to members and their guests.
- Be current and knowledgeable of all menus, policies, standards, procedures and events.
- Arrive at work prepared and willing to do your best.
- Be attentive and always focused on the job.
- Follow set guidelines that enable you to provide the highest standard of food and beverage service while working in all of the club’s service areas
- Show a sense of urgency when providing service to the members, especially in instances where time is the essence.
- “Talk it up”, ask questions, be informed, promote yourself, your department, and the club.
- Have your “tools” with you at all times - wine opener, chit holder, menu notes, pens, pencils and service tray.
- Use a courteous, professional level of language.
- Stay on top of all members assigned to you and cater to what they need throughout service
- Complete all assigned side Duties as assigned by Managers and/or Supervisors
- Be able to lift up to 23 Kg (50 pounds) on a semi-regular basis.
- Provide versatile availability centred on working evenings, early mornings weekends, statutory holidays and event dates





Additional Job Duties May Include (but are not limited to):

- Maintain Cleanliness of all work station:
- Stock side plates, saucers, and teacups
- Stock water glasses
- Fill sugar holders
- Fill oil and vinegar
- Fill salt & pepper grinders
- Check for mints and refill dish at restaurant entrance
- Check and memorize daily soup and quiche
- Have regular and decaffeinated coffee brewed freshly for all service hours
- Opening & Closing Bars and kitchen areas in a quick hygienic fashion.

Required:

· Smart Serve Certification (Required before Candidate is accepted for interview)

· Food handlers certification (Preferred)

· One year experience (Preferred but we are willing to train those who want an opportunity)

· Weekends & holidays are always busy times so the ability to work through them with flexible availability is quite important.
