Alpa Pre-Engineered Panel Systems Inc. is currently seeking a Forklift Mechanic to join our team in Courtice, Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the equipment that supports the production of quality building components while working alongside a skilled and dedicated team.

Your Responsibilities

As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of powered lift trucks and related equipment, including:

- Reviewing daily forklift inspection reports completed by operators
- Inspecting and testing forklift engines and systems to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Adjusting, repairing, or replacing defective mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
- Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled service work
- Repairing and rebuilding hoisting mechanisms and other forklift systems
- Testing and adjusting repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and safe operation
- Reviewing work orders and discussing repair requirements with supervisors
- Advising management on equipment condition, recommended repairs, and maintenance requirements
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records
- Adhering to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Performing other mechanical repair duties as assigned

The Skills & Knowledge You Bring

- Powered Lift Truck Technician certification is considered an asset but is not required
- Certified or uncertified candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with manufacturers such as Toyota, Hyster,



or Yale is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience repairing and maintaining forklifts, heavy equipment, automotive equipment, or similar machinery
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices
- Ability to work independently and and lift up to 50lbs
- Experience working with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship
