Men Zone Barbershop is a modern, fast-paced barbershop focused on providing excellent grooming services and an exceptional customer experience.

We are looking for a friendly, confident and reliable Front Desk Receptionist / Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Oak Park location in Oakville and Eglinton Location in Mississauga.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and isn't afraid to take initiative.

About the Position

Our Front Desk team plays an important role in keeping the shop running smoothly.

This is not a traditional sit-down receptionist position.

You will be actively involved in daily shop operations. Throughout your shift, you may be greeting clients, answering phones, managing appointments and walk-ins, processing payments, communicating with barbers, organizing products, preparing towels, maintaining the reception area and helping keep the shop clean and organized.

We are looking for someone who sees something that needs to be done and takes initiative.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities may include

- Greet and welcome clients as soon as they enter the shop
- Check clients in and out
- Book, modify and cancel appointments
- Manage walk-in clients and communicate wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls and client questions
- Use our booking and point-of-sale systems
- Process debit, credit and cash payments
- Complete cash-out procedures
- Help manage barber schedules and client flow
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the client's visit
- Explain promotions, loyalty programs and services
- Support retail product sales
- Help resolve basic customer concerns professionally
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area




- Maintain the coffee/beverage station
- Prepare, organize and manage towels and hot towels
- Keep the wash station organized
- Perform light cleaning and vacuuming as required
- Assist with inventory organization and product scanning
- Complete opening and closing responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with barbers, management and other Men Zone locations
- Support other reasonable front-desk and shop responsibilities as required

Previous experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, retail, administration, salons or barbershops is an asset. However, we also value attitude, communication skills, reliability, professionalism and willingness to learn.

Availability & Scheduling

Men Zone operates

Monday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–8:00 PM

Sunday:



10:00 AM–8:00 PM

Shifts are scheduled within these operating hours. You will not necessarily work the entire operating schedule.

This role will primarily be based at our Oak Park location in Oakville. Team members may also have opportunities to pick up additional shifts at other Men Zone locations when coverage is available.

Compensation

Starting wage: Ontario minimum wage

Employment type: Part-Time

There may be opportunities for additional hours based on availability, reliability, performance and business needs.

Important Before Applying Please understand that this is an active front-desk position.

You should be comfortable standing and walking throughout your shift, assisting clients, cleaning and organizing, preparing towels, helping with inventory and staying productive when the front desk is quiet.

Strong attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential.

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
