Responsibilities

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for children.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists to support individual needs and developmental goals.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap schedules, hygiene practices, and transitions.
- Support children with diverse needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioral observations.




- Collaborate with team members to develop inclusive curricula that incorporate bilingual (English and French) instruction when applicable.

Skills

- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a valuable asset.
- Demonstrated experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development stages, and best practices.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities to support diverse families and enhance classroom engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation efficiently.
