Construction Labourer – $25/hourJob Summary

Aveline Waterproofing is hiring a Construction Labourer for an interior basement waterproofing project in the Red Deer area.

The initial project is expected to last approximately 3–4 days. Applicants who are reliable and perform well may be contacted for future waterproofing projects as work becomes available; however, ongoing hours are not guaranteed.

This is physically demanding work involving concrete demolition, trench excavation, repeated stair climbing, and carrying heavy buckets of debris, gravel, and concrete.

Pay: $25 CAD per hour

Project duration: Approximately 3–4 days

Schedule: Full days for the duration of the project

Duties

- Protect and prepare the basement work area
- Assist with cutting and breaking the concrete floor along the foundation perimeter
- Dig and clean out the drainage trench using hand tools
- Shovel broken concrete, soil, and debris into buckets
- Repeatedly carry buckets of debris upstairs and load them into a trailer
- Carry buckets of washed ¾-inch clear stone downstairs
- Place and level transparent stone within the drainage trench
- Assist with installing drainage pipe, fittings, dimple-board membrane, and sump connections
- Move bags of concrete mix and other materials around the worksite




- Mix concrete and transfer it into buckets
- Carry buckets of mixed concrete downstairs
- Assist with pouring, levelling, and finishing the replacement concrete
- Operate basic hand and power tools as directed
- Keep the basement and exterior loading areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety instructions and use required protective equipment

Qualifications
- Capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying approximately 40–60 lb
- Comfortable repeatedly climbing basement stairs while carrying buckets
- Able to perform prolonged shovelling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and demolition work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Comfortable working around concrete dust, noise, and power tools
- Construction, concrete, landscaping, demolition, or waterproofing experience is an asset but not required
- Steel-toe boots are required
- Must have dependable transportation to the worksite
- Must be available for the entire 3–4-day project

This position is best suited to someone dependable, physically capable, and interested in being considered for additional project-based work in the future. Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24.0 per week
