General Security Operative - Region Saint John/Charlotte County

Paladin Security Group (NB) Ltd. is currently looking for individuals who are flexible and willing to work across multiple sites, including healthcare facilities, the Port of Saint John, and other locations throughout the area.

Position Details:

Position: Casual Security Guard (possibility to get Full time)

Site: Multi-Sites

Overtime: Overtime (excess of 44 hours)

Hours: As needed

Payrate: $20.40 - 21.60/hour

Key responsibilities:

- Patrol Grounds: Conduct regular rounds of premises, including parking areas, hallways, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.
- Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
- Access Control: Monitor and control entry points, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.
- Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist staff as needed during crises and evacuations.
- Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, and staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to policies and procedures.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally.




- Report Writing: Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately. Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.
- Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved.

Prerequisites:

- Covid Vaccine two doses (Healthcare only)
- Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin test (Healthcare only)
- English (oral and written)
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and / or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
