The Kootenay Co-op is looking for a part-time Grocery Clerk to join our team! Do you have an interest in natural + organic foods? Do you like teamwork? Can you lift up to 25 lbs safely? Apply now! This is a 8-12 hours per week position. Evening and weekend availability is required.

SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS

- Team oriented
- Experience in stocking and rotation of perishable products
- Impeccable attendance + punctuality; ability to clock-in/out accurately
- Knowledge of whole, natural, and organic foods
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain

favorable relations with customers, staff, and vendors
- Cooperative, respectful communication skills
- Ability to approach problems with a positive attitude and have creative,

constructive solutions on hand
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner
- Flexible in the face of variable work requirements, able to maintain high level of

productivity.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES

- Stock product accurately + efficiently
- Ensure grocery, bulk, cooler and freezer departments are well rotated, fronted,

faced and clean at all times




- Provide excellent customer service to all shoppers
- Monitor perishables + near date products and take appropriate actions to

minimize loss
- Follow proper back stock procedures (block, condense, rotate, etc.)
- Create + maintain visually appealing monthly displays to promote product

Rate: $18.25-20.00/hour, depending on experience.
