Halton Violence Prevention Council requires a Coordinator with a comprehensive understanding of issues related to gender-based violence. The position requires excellent communication skills, experience working with community partners and the ability to take a leadership role in improving our community’s response to violence while prioritizing the voices of survivors.

Responsibilities include

Guiding and supporting the Halton Violence Prevention Council and its activities

Managing social media accounts

Organizing and supporting committee and sub-committee meetings and projects

Promoting the Neighbours, Friends and Family campaign

Supporting the engagement of survivors of violence and their activities

Promoting cross-sectoral collaboration, education and advocacy

Part time 14 hrs per week/$ 35 hour - on-going- Hours are adaptable. The position is currently hybrid and location of work will have flexibility with some in-person activities
