Canadian Base Operators is seeking Airport Heavy Equipment Operators for their Firebag team in Fort Mackay, Alberta. This seasonal, full time role involves maintaining runway surfaces and airfield areas, with a focus on snow and ice control. Ideal candidates are experienced in aviation operations, committed to safety, and able to work a 4 days on, 3 days off rotation in a remote camp environment.

What You'll Need

- Heavy Equipment Operator Certification
- High school diploma or post-secondary education




- 3-5 years of experience in the aviation industry
- Class 1 or 3 license with Q Endorsement or provincial equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Radio License (aeronautical)
- AVOP
- Drivers Abstract
- Common Safety Orientation - Energy Safety Canada (asset)
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol test (and random testing)
- Security clearance - Criminal Record Check
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in rotation

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Previous aviation or SNIC (snow and ice control) experience
