The Blue Marble Academy is looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and engaging High School Math & Science Tutor to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with students and can explain challenging concepts in a clear, simple way.

Our tutors work one-on-one to help students strengthen their understanding, build confidence, improve study habits, and succeed academically.

Responsibilities

- Provide individualized tutoring to high school students in Math and Science
- Support students with subjects such as: Grade 9-12 Mathematics, Functions and Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Help students review classroom material, complete homework, prepare for tests and exams, and strengthen foundational skills
- Adapt explanations and teaching strategies to suit each student's learning style
- Identify areas where students may need additional support and help build their confidence
- Encourage strong study habits, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Communicate student progress and areas of focus with the Blue Marble team




- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in or graduated from a university or college program related to Math, Science, Engineering, Education, or a similar field
- Strong understanding of Ontario high school Math and/or Science curriculum
- Confident tutoring students in multiple high school Math and Science subjects
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, dependable, and comfortable working with teenager
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or educational experience is an asset

Availability We are looking for tutors who are available for after-school, evening, and/or Saturday sessions. Consistent weekly availability is preferred, as students are typically paired with the same tutor for ongoing sessions.

Pay: $18.10-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
