Maison Des Amis

Toronto

We bring cooking evenings into people's homes in Toronto, and one of our newest experiences is all about making fresh pasta by hand. Six to twenty guests around one table, learning to make their own pasta from scratch.

You would not be cooking for the group. You would be teaching them to do it themselves, at the table. We provide the boards, the equipment, the ingredients and the dessert, and together we take care of setting up and clearing away, so the guests don't have to lift a finger beyond the pasta.

We want the pasta to be authentic and delicious, the kind of meal people go home and tell their friends about.

The right person has made fresh pasta their whole life and cooks the way it was cooked at home rather than the way it is taught in a kitchen.

Italian home cooking specifically.

Just as key, this is a room of ten people who have had a few drinks and have never done this before. It needs someone with a sense of humour who enjoys that, who can hold a table, tease people a bit, and correct them without being precious about it. The cooking is half the job. The other half is the evening.

Two and a half hours, once or twice a month, evenings and weekends, at addresses around Toronto and the GTA.

If that sounds like you, we would like to hear about it.

Pay: $50.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
