Schedule: Day shift, 4 days per week

Typical Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

About the Role

DW Home Décor is a professional home staging company serving Ottawa and the surrounding area. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and physically capable Mover & Furniture Installer to join our team.

This is a hands-on role supporting our home staging projects. Most of the work involves loading, moving, delivering, installing and removing furniture and décor from residential properties, along with assembling furniture in our warehouse and on-site.

This is a physical moving and installation position—not a decorating or styling role.

Main Responsibilities

- Load and unload furniture, artwork, rugs, accessories and staging inventory
- Deliver and move furniture into residential properties throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas
- Set up and remove furniture for home staging projects
- Assemble and disassemble flat-pack furniture from IKEA, Structube and similar retailers
- Safely use common power tools and hand tools, including drills and impact drivers
- Move sofas, dining tables, beds, dressers, cabinets and other large furniture
- Protect furniture, walls, floors and clients’ homes while moving items
- Wrap, pack and prepare furniture for transportation
- Organize furniture and inventory in our warehouse
- Assist with loading and organizing the company moving van
- Help keep the warehouse, vehicles and equipment clean and organized
- Follow instructions from the staging team and help complete installations efficiently and on schedule

Requirements
- Fluent spoken English is required for clear and safe communication with our team and clients
- Valid full Ontario driver’s licence required
- Must have your own reliable vehicle to get to work
- Comfortable driving a cargo van when required




- Physically capable of repeatedly lifting and carrying heavy furniture, including items weighing approximately 50–75 lbs
- Comfortable carrying furniture up and down stairs
- Experience using power tools and assembling furniture
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently without constant supervision
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Careful and respectful when working inside clients’ homes
- Able to work well as part of a small team
- Comfortable with varying schedules and work locations based on staging projects
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

Experience Previous experience in moving, furniture delivery, furniture assembly, warehousing, construction, general labour or a similar physical role is an asset.

Professional moving experience is not required if you are physically capable, dependable, comfortable using tools and willing to learn our process.

About the Work

Our staging projects take place in homes throughout Ottawa and the surrounding area. Some days may involve multiple properties; other days may focus on furniture assembly, inventory organization and preparation at our warehouse.

This is an active job involving lifting throughout the day, stairs and moving furniture safely through finished homes. Attention to detail and respect for each home are extremely important. We are looking for someone who moves carefully—not someone who simply moves quickly.

What We Offer

- $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and reliability
- Daytime schedule, typically four weekdays per week
- Opportunity for additional hours depending on workload
