Overview
Join our dedicated team as an Immigration Case Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals navigating the complex immigration process. Responsibilities
- Review and proofread legal documents, applications, and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance with immigration regulations
- Conduct thorough research using tools like LexisNexis to gather relevant legal information and case details
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously, maintaining organized files within iManage or similar document management systems
- Interview clients to collect essential information, clarify case details, and assess eligibility for various immigration programs
- Draft legal documents, affidavits, and reports with precision, adhering to established legal drafting standards
- Perform data entry and clerical tasks such as filing, updating case statuses,
and maintaining detailed records of client interactions
- Communicate professionally with clients via phone or email, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and empathetic listening skills
Experience
- Proven administrative experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in project management or case coordination within a legal or immigration setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with research tools such as LexisNexis or similar legal research platforms
- Demonstrated ability to perform proofreading, legal drafting, and data entry accurately
- Prior experience conducting interviews or client intake sessions in a professional environment
- Knowledge of iManage or comparable document management systems is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette
