About Miss Math Tutoring

Miss Math Tutoring has been a trusted East York learning centre for 11 years. In that time, our tutors have helped over 1,500 students build genuine confidence and understanding in mathematics.

Our teaching approach is simple: Clear, structured lessons → true understanding → confidence that lasts.

We don’t just do “homework help.” Instead, we teach step by step, with care, clarity, and connection.

A great candidate

- Has a robust understanding of the Ontario math curriculum (Grades 9–12)
- Is kind, upbeat, patient, and genuinely cares about students
- Is an excellent communicator who can explain ideas simply




- Organized and reliable
- Native fluency in English
- Experienced in teaching or tutoring (asset, not mandatory as training is provided!)
- Available Monday–Thursday 4–9 pm and Sat–Sun 9–5 pm
- Able to work in-person at our East York centre

Please note you must be able to commit until the end of the school year, June 30th, 2027. Courses You Must Be Comfortable Teaching

You must be comfortable teaching any combination of:

- Grade 9 & 10 Mathematics
- Grade 11 Functions
- Grade 12 Advanced Functions
- Grade 12 Calculus & Vectors
- Grade 12 Data Management

What You’ll Do

- Deliver engaging, easy-to-understand lessons using our structured plans
- Support students with current school content while filling foundational gaps
- Build a warm, real connection with your students
- Help students leave each session feeling more confident than when they arrive

Pay: $30.00-$39.00 per hour
