Industrial Electrician

Located in Calgary, AB, Allied Centrifuge Technologies is an organization specializing in the design, manufacturing, servicing, and repair of centrifuges. We are currently looking to add a Industrial Electrician to our Panel Division team. The basis of this role is a Ticketed Journeyman Electrician that has experience in industrial applications.

This role will also require millwright or industrial mechanic skills in repairing and assembling industrial equipment, giving this role the ability to fully service not only the electrical systems of equipment but the equipment itself. We are looking for applicants who can work in a fast-paced growing environment, that has an eye for detail, are able to produce quality work safely and consistently, working with a team and also independently.

Responsibilities:

- Reading and interpreting specifications and blueprints
- Installing, servicing and repairing conduits, wiring and fixtures
- Installing, assembling and perform maintenance of control panels
- Conducting electronic inspections and tests
- Grounding electrical systems
- Servicing motors, VFD’s and high voltage systems
- Performing electrical work on environmental regulating systems, pumps and industrial lighting systems
- Installing, maintaining and repairing heavy duty equipment and industrial communications systems
- Cleaning circuit boards and contacts
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components
- Working with programmable logic/automation controls

· Disassemble, inspect, clean and troubleshoot centrifuges in house and in the field.



· In Field Rotating Assembly change outs across Canada and USA.

· Assemble machines in compliance with quality procedures and control methods.

· Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, follow oral and written instructions, and determine tools to use with full proficiency.

· Manipulate and orient large pieces of equipment safely and efficiently with the use of overhead cranes and forklifts.

· Self-Motivated and able to work alone and as part of a team.

· Must have basic hand tools, air tools, toolbox etc.

· Follow and comply with all company Health and Safety and Quality policies.

Personal qualifications:

· Journeymen’s ticket in electrician

· Ticketed millwright or industrial mechanic would be an asset but not required

· Must have experience working with industrial machinery and be mechanically inclined.

· Must have the ability to travel for work and be on call when required.

· Must have a clean driver abstract.

Salary:

- Negotiable based on experience.
- Full advantages after 3-month probationary term.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
