Our client is seeking an experienced intermediate/senior construction purchasing specialist with 5+ years of construction procurement experience, including strong CCDC contract and sourcing experience, to support construction and facilities projects.

1-year Contract

Calgary based - hybrid setting, 2-3 days/week on-site

Must Have:

- 5+ years of experience in construction procurement/purchasing
- 3+ years of experience working with CCDC contracts (Canadian Construction Documents Committee.)
- Strong knowledge of construction procurement, materials, project phases, and the construction lifecycle
- Experience with competitive bidding, sourcing, negotiation, and contract execution
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, internal controls, and financial procedures
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- SCMP designation

Nice-to-Have:

- MBA or other relevant post-secondary education




- Experience working within a public-sector, educational, or institutional environment
- Experience supporting facilities management or construction project teams

Responsibilities:

- Manage procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services for construction and facilities projects.
- Lead competitive bidding, sourcing, negotiation, and contract activities, applying CCDC standards and best-value procurement practices.
- Work closely with project managers, Facilities Management, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies and applicable government regulations.
- Support contract execution, documentation, internal controls, and financial processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the external construction supplier community.
