This position is required to proactively monitor, in real-time, all surveillance cameras, motion alarms and access controls, then process any unusual activity to provide an appropriate response. This position will also receive information from the field and appropriately direct notifications guided by the Standard Operating Procedures. The SSOC-Investigative Specialist must adapt, utilize experienced judgment in order to function during time-urgent situations.

Further, this position will be responsible for investigating and protecting the Woodbine Entertainment Group's security and integrity with discretion and confidentiality, ensuring company, employee and guest safety and security.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProactive monitoring of surveillance cameras specifically utilizing experience to identify and assess unusual activity that puts the business, people or property at riskReport and investigate all matters affecting the integrity of Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing at all Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) facilitiesUpon identification of any unusual activity, use sound judgment to respond and report appropriately. It may include further monitoring, sending a response team, escalating to Management, contacting proper authorities, among other appropriate responses as deemed fit by the SSOC-Investigative Specialist.Document and conduct impartial investigations into all offences and criminal activity on WEG Property and affecting WEGEnsure immediate response to any alarms from motion or access control entry issuesThoroughly investigate any incidents reported, including any findings or determinations. Prepare accurate investigative reports and video evidence that are reliable and defensible in the event of any potential legal action.Attend court and hearing(s) and give evidence or observe and report on related mattersInitiate investigations into WEG employee matters for disciplinary action and when internal breaches of security are suspected, partnering with the PX department when requiredReceive and communicate emergency messages and make appropriate notifications.Sort and prioritize operational email/call traffic and make appropriate notifications based on established criteria.Provide support to special events, including retention program, surveillance,



operational planning and risk assessmentsDevelop/enforce security measures to be followed and oversee covert and electronic surveillanceInvestigate and report unlawful use of broadcast signalsIdentify and track crime patterns affecting WEG properties and report to Management.

Manager of all active investigations and results of each investigation and apprise of any occurrences which may compromise or be damaging to the positive guest experience or departmental relationsFollow up on all investigations to ensure accurate and effective completionWork as a team member to continuously improve operational effectiveness, improve SOPs, and deliver guest support.Investigate and respond to integrity issues quickly and thoroughly, ensuring appropriate action taken.
