We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician who shares our values and wants to build a long-term career with a company that is moving forward.

What You’ll Do

- Complete residential and commercial service, renovation, and construction work.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems efficiently.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with applicable codes and Polar Electric’s standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, office staff, and other trades.
- Review job requirements and plan work before beginning each task.
- Complete required safety documentation, job notes, and project records.
- Maintain an organized work area, service vehicle, and company-issued tools.
- Work independently when required while contributing positively to the team.
- Ensure every installation reflects our standards for safety, quality, and craftsmanship.

What We’re Looking For
- Valid Alberta Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.
- Proven residential and commercial electrical experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and safe work practices.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Professional communication and customer-service skills.




- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Willingness to provide a satisfactory criminal record check.

Experience with service work, controls, and electrical estimating is considered an asset.
