We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to join our team as a freelancer, full-time. We are looking for someone who can commit to 35 hours per week. The rest of our team typically works between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST, though there is flexibility around this.

As a remote team, reliability and responsiveness are essential to how we work together. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their design career looking to build real-world experience across a variety of projects and mediums. Training will be provided for the entire scope of work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop graphics and layouts for print and digital media such as brochures, flyers, social media posts, advertisements, and email marketing materials
- Support brand-aligned design work, including assisting with logo and branding projects
- Create and schedule social media assets and posts across platforms
- Design and build email newsletters using platforms such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp
- Support the maintenance and updating of websites, including WordPress and Squarespace
- Work closely with our Creative Account Manager, who will provide hands-on guidance and mentorship as you grow your skills
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, software updates,



and best practices in graphic and web design
- Help manage day-to-day tasks across multiple projects, with support prioritizing as needed

Qualifications:

- Access to your own laptop/computer and an active Adobe Creative Cloud subscription
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Knowledge of WordPress, Squarespace, HTML, CSS and JavaScript are considered an asset
- Interest or experience in social media marketing and/or email marketing platforms is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and design principles
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced creative setting
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and clients, especially important as part of a remote team
