Canadian Erosion & Containment Ltd. (CEC) is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman / Project Lead to oversee commercial, municipal, and industrial landscape construction projects throughout Alberta.

This position is ideal for someone who can take ownership of a project from start to finish, coordinate crews and subcontractors, communicate with clients, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Typical Project Scope

- Rough and finish grading
- Topsoil placement
- Sod installation
- Seed and hydroseeding
- Irrigation systems
- Rock retaining walls
- Segmental block retaining walls
- Site restoration and reclamation
- Parks and recreation developments
- Commercial landscape construction

Responsibilities
- Manage landscape construction projects from mobilization to completion
- Lead and supervise field crews of 3 to 15 personnel
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Read construction drawings, grading plans, and specifications
- Schedule crews and daily work activities
- Perform quantity tracking and daily reporting
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and budget
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety inspections
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, and inspectors
- Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project delivery




- Support estimating and project management teams as required

Qualifications
- 5+ years of landscape construction experience
- Previous Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Lead experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Grading
- Topsoil placement
- Sod installation
- Irrigation systems
- Retaining wall construction
- Equipment operations
- Ability to read construction drawings and site plans
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Experience operating skid steers, excavators, loaders, and compact equipment is an asset

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
