A well established Insurance Defence law firm located in the core of downtown Toronto, steps from Union Station is in need of an Insurance Defence Law Clerk to join its team.

Experience working with both Insurance Defence Tort and AB Claims is essential for being considered for this role.

1-3 years of relevant experience is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Responsible for the maintenance of document briefs and files;

Preparation and completion of file summaries;

Review and prepare file for mediations and discoveries;

Prepare motion materials;

Draft Pleadings;

Experience with trial and arbitrations (summons, witnesses, preparation of notices of intention and requests to admit, Preparation of trial briefs;





Responsible for the follow up of undertakings.

The successful candidate will have:

Excellent organizational, drafting and communication skills;

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;

Keen attention to detail;

Knowledge of Statutory Accident Benefit Schedule and LAT;

Working knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure;

Must have experience working in an Insurance Defence law practice.
