Licensed 310S Automotive Technician

$35–$45 per hour — based on experience and skill level

Full-time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

AMZ Tire & Auto Care Centre is a growing independent automotive repair shop in Hamilton. As our customer base and workload continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Licensed 310S Automotive Technician to join our team.

We're looking for a technician who can diagnose problems properly, work independently, and take pride in quality workmanship. This is a mechanical and diagnostic position for someone who can handle repairs from diagnosis through completion.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian and European vehicles
- Perform general mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose engine and drivability concerns
- Perform brake, steering and suspension repairs
- Diagnose electrical and electronic concerns
- Perform A/C diagnostics and repairs
- Perform wheel alignments and related steering and suspension work
- Perform tire and wheel services when required
- Use professional diagnostic scan tools and repair information
- Properly diagnose concerns before replacing parts
- Inspect vehicles and accurately identify required repairs
- Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Follow proper safety procedures and manufacturer repair procedures

Qualifications

Required:

- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician licence
- Previous experience working as an automotive technician
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Own professional hand tools
- Valid Ontario driver's licence
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual and professional




- Solid attention to detail and pride in workmanship

The following are considered an asset:

- Red Seal certification
- Experience with European vehicles, including BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen
- Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic experience
- A/C diagnostic and repair experience
- Wheel alignment experience
- Experience using advanced diagnostic scan tools
- Experience working in an independent automotive repair shop
