Built in 1912, the hotel is a city landmark and one of the greatest treasures. Our historic dining room overlooks one of the best sunset views in English Bay.

Summary

We are hiring for 2 positions - seeking both a dedicated Line Cook and a self motivated Prep Cook to join our team at the Sylvia Hotel for the busy summer, and beyond. Located in the heart of Vancouver, this role offers an exciting chance to contribute to a historic and renowned hospitality establishment. Your passion for food and exceptional service will help create memorable experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve food according to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in food handling and preparation areas.
- Assist in kitchen operations,



including meal preparation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service.
- Support the overall operation of the restaurant or food service area.
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to different shifts and responsibilities.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Basic food preparation skills are preferred.
