SOUNDS INTERESTING? JOIN US The Machinist produces precision parts using conventional and/or CNC lathes based on technical drawings and specifications. The Machinist is responsible for preparing and setting up equipment, inspecting dimensions and ensuring the quality of finished parts, while following health and safety standards.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

- Read and interpret technical drawings, machining instructions, and work orders.
- Prepare and set up the lathe, select appropriate cutting tools, and determine machining parameters.
- Machine parts made from various materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Perform various turning operations, including facing, turning, boring, drilling, threading, grooving, and parting.
- Perform dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring instruments.
- Work with both imperial and metric measurement systems and perform necessary conversions.
- Complete production documentation and report any quality, tooling, or equipment issues.
- Keep the work area and equipment clean and in good working condition.




- Follow all applicable health and safety standards and work procedures.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

- Machining training or relevant experience.
- Experience operating conventional and/or CNC lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of both imperial and metric measurement systems.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
- Valuable knowledge of cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters.
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Autonomy, organization, and ability to manage priorities.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- French proficiency; English is considered an asset.
