About the Role

Meyer Housewares Canada is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function at our Charlottetown manufacturing facility. Our operation includes metal-forming presses, polishing and finishing equipment, wash processes, tooling, automation and facility systems. This role requires a practical leader who can work alongside the maintenance team when needed, respond effectively to equipment issues, and build the systems, discipline and capability required for reliable plant performance.

What You Will Be Responsible For

- Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team, setting clear priorities, expectations and accountability while ensuring appropriate coverage for plant requirements.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including support during major breakdowns.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities, work priorities and follow-up, with a focus on reducing unplanned downtime and repeat equipment failures.
- Work closely with Production and other plant functions to support daily operations, planned shutdowns, equipment changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage spare parts, tools, contractors, OEMs and external technical resources, and maintain practical maintenance records and equipment documentation.
- Use and improve CMMS and other computer-based maintenance systems to support planning, work history, preventive maintenance and equipment information.
- Support equipment upgrades and capital projects, including technical evaluation, installation and commissioning,



and contribute to maintenance budgeting and longer-term equipment planning.

What We Are Looking For
- Progressive industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Solid practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability and willingness to troubleshoot equipment directly when required.
- A hands-on leadership style with sound judgment, accountability, communication skills and the ability to develop and direct a maintenance team.
- Strong computer skills and comfort working with maintenance systems, equipment technology, technical documentation and data.
- Industrial trade certification, engineering technology diploma, engineering degree, or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant experience.
- Experience with automation, PLCs, motor controls, drives, hydraulic systems, CMMS improvement, tooling or capital equipment projects is considered an asset.

Working Conditions This is an on-site role based in Charlottetown, PEI, working primarily regular daytime hours with flexibility to support a multi-shift manufacturing operation, planned shutdowns and urgent equipment issues when required. Regular time on the manufacturing floor is expected.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
