Overview

Located at Woodbine Mall/Fantasy Fair and reporting to the Operations Manager, this Mall Maintenance candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the property. This role includes preventative maintenance, minor repairs, building inspections, and supporting operational needs to help ensure a protected, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. The salary is aligned with market data and is estimated at $18/hr. This posting is for an existing vacancy within our organization.

Responsibilities

- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance. (training will be provided)
- Handling basic repairs and maintenance, as per abilities/knowledge.
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Reporting mechanical issues in real time to Operations Manager or other senior team members.
- Smal building infrastructure repairs as necessary, such as drywall, tile, concrete.
- Perform building surveys as directed by Operations Manager.
- Cleaning/sweeping/shoveling/furniture set up/seasonal display set up as directed.
- Cleaning inspection overview submitting a written report w/pictures to both Operations Manager and Manager for Fantasy Fair.




- Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager or senior team members

Qualifications

- 1 to 2 years of general building maintenance or relevant trade experience.
- A high school diploma is standard
- A related technical diploma, HVAC course completion, or a 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate are strong assets.
- Ability to safely operate power tools, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions or physical environments.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills to interact professionally with tenants and staff.
