Leblanc Scott CPA is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Riverview office.

This is an opportunity to take on a meaningful client-facing role within a growing local accounting firm, where your experience and judgment will have a direct impact on our clients and our team. You'll work with a diverse range of businesses and organizations, take responsibility for engagements from start to finish, and have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking the lead — someone who can work directly with clients, solve problems, review the work of others, and provide guidance and coaching to help junior staff grow.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Manager, you'll have a diverse role encompassing accounting, assurance, taxation, client service, and staff development.

You'll

- Build and maintain robust relationships with clients and serve as a key point of contact for their accounting and tax needs.
- Lead and oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion.
- Apply your knowledge of ASPE and ASNPO to resolve accounting issues and provide practical advice to clients and staff.
- Prepare and review Canadian corporate and personal income tax returns.
- Review financial statements, working papers, tax returns, and other work prepared by junior and intermediate staff.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, helping them develop their technical skills and confidence.
- Provide guidance to staff on accounting, assurance, and tax issues.
- Manage engagement timelines, priorities, and client expectations.
- Communicate directly with clients, the CRA, and other relevant parties as required.
- Identify opportunities to further assist clients and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.





What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced public practice accountant who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

You should have

- Significant experience working in Canadian public practice.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and ASNPO accounting standards.
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing Canadian corporate and personal tax returns.
- Experience managing audit, review, and compilation engagements.
- Experience reviewing the work of other accounting professionals.
- The ability and desire to coach and develop junior staff.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal directly with clients.
- A CPA designation is preferred, although equivalent public practice experience will be considered.
- Experience with CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks, and Sage is an asset.
