Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Materials & Inventory Coordinator to lead our materials management and inventory processes. In this vital role, you will oversee the procurement, tracking, and distribution of materials across multiple channels, ensuring seamless supply chain operations. Your expertise in data analysis, demand planning, and warehouse management will drive efficiency, reduce costs, and support our company's growth.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our logistics network, coordinating with procurement teams, warehouse staff, and sales departments to optimize inventory levels and streamline order fulfillment.

Duties

- Own raw-material inventory: leather, soles, heels, hardware, laces, components, packaging and production consumables.
- Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations.
- Conduct cycle counts and coordinate physical inventory counts.
- Establish minimum/maximum inventory levels and reorder points.
- Generate and manage purchase orders for raw materials.
- Place orders with suppliers based on production requirements.
- Track outstanding POs and expected delivery dates.
- Follow up on late or incomplete supplier shipments.
- Receive materials into the inventory system and investigate discrepancies.
- Match received materials against POs and packing slips.




- Monitor leather allocation and usage by production run.
- Identify shortages before they affect production.
- Identify obsolete, slow-moving and excess inventory.
- Work with Finance on inventory reconciliation and valuation.
- Work directly with Production Planning to confirm material availability before production is released.
- Maintain supplier information, lead times, MOQs and pricing.

KPIs inventory accuracy 98%+; production delays caused by material shortages; raw-material inventory value; excess/obsolete inventory; PO delivery performance; cycle-count discrepancies; and percentage of materials received on time.

Profile

2–5 years in inventory, purchasing, manufacturing or supply-chain coordination. Strong Excel/ERP skills, very organized, comfortable working physically with inventory as well as in the system, and ideally experienced with leather, footwear, apparel or another materials-intensive manufacturing workplace.
