Lucere Dermatology, Cosmetic & Laser is a patient-focused clinic providing dermatology and procedural services. We are seeking a certified Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to support secure, consistent, and standards-aligned reprocessing of reusable medical devices.

Position Summary The MDR Technician is responsible for the complete reprocessing cycle (cleaning, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage, and documentation/traceability) in accordance with manufacturer IFUs, CSA Z314, and clinic policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform receiving, cleaning/decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, cooling, and storage of reusable devices.
- Operate MDR equipment (e.g., ultrasonic/washer if applicable, steam sterilizer, heat sealer) and complete daily/weekly quality checks.
- Complete and document sterilization monitoring (mechanical/physical parameters, chemical indicators, biological indicators) and load release documentation per policy.
- Maintain accurate traceability records (load logs, BI logs, maintenance records; implant logs if applicable).
- Follow IFUs and correct selection/use of detergents, brushes, and accessories.
- Maintain clean/dirty workflow and environmental cleaning of the MDR space.




- Identify nonconforming instruments, remove from service, and escalate for repair/replacement.
- Support audits/accreditation activities and continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

· Current certification: CMDRT or HSPA CRCST (active/valid).

- Demonstrated competence with CSA Z314 concepts and IFU-driven reprocessing.
- Strong documentation, attention to detail, and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications (Assets)

- Prior experience in a non-hospital surgical facility, ambulatory clinic, endoscopy, or hospital MDR/CSR.
- Experience with instrument tracking/traceability systems (manual or electronic).
- WHMIS and IPC training.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods; repetitive hand tasks.
- Ability to lift and move trays/sets up to 20 lbs.
