Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) – Mammography

Central Alberta Medical Imaging Services (CAMIS) is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) specializing in Mammography to join our team at our Olds location.

This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with hours and days negotiable for the right candidate. The successful candidate will perform high-quality mammography examinations while ensuring patients receive compassionate, respectful, and professional care throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform screening mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols and professional standards.
- Ensure the safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process.
- Position patients accurately and produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Explain procedures clearly and respond to patient questions in a supportive and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation.
- Follow all regulatory, privacy, infection prevention, quality assurance, and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain mammography equipment and identify or report equipment concerns as required.
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, clinic staff, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-focused clinic environment.

Qualifications and Experience
- Current registration with, or eligibility to apply for registration with, the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- Current membership with,



or eligibility to apply for membership with, the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Education and certification as a Medical Radiation Technologist.
- Mammography education, training, or experience is required.
- Breast ultrasound experience is considered an asset.
- Experience working in diagnostic imaging or a clinical healthcare environment is considered an asset.
- Current CPR certification is considered an asset.
