Title: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Developer / Technical Lead

Location: Remote (USA/ Canada)

Overview

- We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Developer / Lead Consultant to design, develop, customize, and maintain our enterprise Dynamics AX 2012 environment.
- In this role, you will lead technical deliverables, build integrations, optimize performance, and collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities





- Develop and customize core Dynamics AX 2012 functionality using X++ and the MorphX development environment.
- Design, build, and maintain complex SSRS reports and analytical queries.
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise integrations using Application Integration Framework (AIF), web services, and DIXF/DMF.
- Troubleshoot system issues, conduct code reviews, and optimize SQL/X++ queries for maximum performance.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture, best practices, and AX 2012 upgrade/migration readiness.
- Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather technical specs and deliver end-to-end solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Core Technical : Strong hands-on experience in Dynamics AX 2012 (R2/R3), X++, MorphX, and the AX Object Model.
- Integrations & Reporting : Proven expertise in AIF (services, endpoints, adapters) and SSRS report development within AX.
- Database : Solid proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
- Module Exposure : Working technical knowledge across standard AX modules (Supply Chain, Trade & Logistics, or Finance).
- Communication : Explicit verbal and written technical communication skills; comfortable leading technical discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Dynamics AX to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O;) upgrades or migrations.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics AX 2012 Technical Certification.
