BUILD A BUSY PRACTICE WHILE GROWING YOUR PANEL

Southcentre Family Medical Clinic (SFMC) and Autism Exists Diagnosis Clinic (AEDC) are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative dual-clinic practice.

This opportunity is designed for an NP who wants to build and maintain their own longitudinal primary care panel. While your family practice grows, you can participate in our established Adult Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment program, providing consistent billable clinical work and structured mentorship.

New NP graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

COMMITMENT TO PANEL-BUILDING The successful applicant must be committed to:

- Accepting new primary care patients
- Building and managing their own longitudinal panel
- Working toward a minimum panel of 500 patients
- Billing Alberta Health fee-for-service while building their panel
- Applying to transition into PCPCM once eligible

This position is intended for an NP seeking a long-term primary care practice, rather than occasional or episodic shifts. IMMEDIATE PATIENT DEMAND IN WOMEN’S HEALTH

Our patient population includes significant demand for comprehensive women’s health services. Many patients have specifically requested care from a female primary care provider for sensitive and intimate health concerns.

Autism Exists Diagnosis Clinic Complete structured training in Adult ASD assessment while gradually taking on assessment work within your scope and demonstrated competence.

Training includes observation, supervised assessments, case discussions, diagnostic formulation, report writing, and one-on-one mentorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build and manage a longitudinal primary care panel
- Provide comprehensive care across the lifespan
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Order and interpret investigations
- Prescribe appropriate therapies
- Provide preventive, mental health, and women’s health care
- Complete Adult ASD assessments following training
- Maintain timely documentation in AVA EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff

COMPENSATION

- Direct Alberta Health fee-for-service billing while building your panel
- Transition to PCPCM once the required panel size and other eligibility requirements are met
- Clinic overhead and administrative services outlined in the independent contractor agreement
- Earning potential based on clinical schedule, patient volume, services provided, and panel growth

QUALIFICATIONS





- Master’s degree in nursing with a Nurse Practitioner designation
- Active CRNA practice permit or eligibility to obtain one before starting
- Eligible for Alberta Health billing
- Professional liability protection
- Current BLS–HCP certification
- Authorization to prescribe controlled drugs and substances
- TPP Alberta registration where required
- Vulnerable Sector Check before commencing practice
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and commitment to longitudinal care

You will begin under the Fee-For-Service model until your patient panel reaches 500, at which point you will transition to the PCN Panel Capitation (PCPCM) model. We provide full administrative support, clinic resources, and a collaborative team environment. The agreed-upon fee split will cover your overhead, so you can focus fully on patient care without managing office expenses.
