Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Office Manager to join our MRI clinic in Calgary, Alberta.
The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the clinic, coordinating front-office activities, supporting staff, managing patient scheduling, and ensuring a professional and positive experience for every patient.
The ideal candidate has previous experience in medical administration, office management, or a healthcare setting and is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily administrative operations of the MRI clinic.
- Oversee front-desk and reception activities.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries in a professional manner.
- Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service.
- Coordinate referrals, requisitions, and other patient documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Process payments and assist with billing and administrative duties.
- Coordinate daily schedules and communicate effectively with MRI technologists, physicians, and clinic staff.
- Support staff with day-to-day administrative needs.
- Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, and training as required.
- Monitor office supplies and coordinate ordering.
- Address patient concerns and resolve administrative issues professionally.
- Maintain an organized, productive, and welcoming clinic environment.
- Ensure office procedures and privacy requirements are followed.
- Identify opportunities to improve clinic workflow and efficiency.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Office Manager, Medical Office Manager, Medical Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience working in a medical clinic or healthcare environment is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
- Professional, friendly, and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, email, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion.
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating administrative staff is an asset.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare administration is an asset.
The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is someone who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and can confidently manage the administrative side of a busy medical clinic. You should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with the clinical team.
Experience in MRI, diagnostic imaging, radiology, or a private medical clinic is considered an asset.
Salary: $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
