Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile On Call Early Childhood Educator to join our vibrant childcare team. This role is vital in providing high-quality, nurturing care and early education to young children, ensuring their developmental needs are met in a safe and engaging environment. As an on-call professional, you will have the opportunity to support our programs during various shifts, bringing energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to every interaction with children and families.

Duties

- Provide attentive supervision and care for children in accordance with program standards and safety protocols
- Implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning, creativity, and social development
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or accommodations for disabilities
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive caregiving approach
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration
- Document daily observations and activities to track developmental progress and inform planning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop inclusive curricula that incorporate bilingual elements such as English and French
- Operate classroom equipment and educational tools safely and efficiently




- Uphold all licensing requirements and organizational policies related to early childhood education

Experience

- Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices for child development
- Experience supporting children with disabilities or special needs is a strong asset
- Bilingual skills in English and French are preferred to enhance communication with diverse families
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally
- Proficiency in computer operation for documentation, reporting, and educational planning purposes
- Classroom experience that showcases leadership qualities and organizational skills
- Familiarity with teaching strategies tailored for early childhood learners of varying abilities
