Job Summary

Cool Set Productions is looking for reliable, hardworking and positive individuals to join our casual event setup and holiday décor crew.

This is an on call, event based position with hours depending on our event and installation schedule. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work and is looking for adaptable, part time opportunities in the events industry.

Outside of holiday décor, our team works on corporate events, retail activations, weddings and other special events throughout Toronto and the GTA.

Previous event experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Assist with event setup and teardown
- Assist with Christmas tree setup, fluffing, decorating and dismantling
- Install and remove garlands, wreaths, ornaments, gift boxes and other holiday décor
- Assist with pipe and drape, staging, tables, chairs, backdrops and event rentals
- Load and unload trucks and event equipment
- Pack, organize and prepare décor and equipment before installations
- Help transport equipment between our facility and event venues
- Follow instructions and setup plans provided by the Event Lead
- Carefully pack and return inventory following events
- Keep work areas, equipment and inventory organized
- Work professionally around clients, venue staff and other vendors

What We're Looking For We are looking for people who are dependable, punctual and comfortable with physical, hands on work.





You should be comfortable lifting and carrying equipment up to approximately 50 lbs, standing for extended periods and working on ladders when required.

Because events don't always happen during regular business hours, applicants should have some availability for days, evenings, weekends and occasional late night or early morning shifts.

A valid driver's licence is an asset. Previous experience in events, décor, warehousing, construction, installations, hospitality or similar hands on work is also an asset, but not required.
