Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Greet patients warmly and guide them through the optical services process with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Assist optometrists during eye exams by preparing equipment, documenting patient information, and ensuring smooth clinic flow
- Conduct preliminary tests such as auto refractor, NCT, FDT, Optos, and other diagnostic procedures
- Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up communications
- Support administrative tasks such as insurance verification, billing, and data entry using electronic medical records systems
- Dispense eyewear by measuring, fitting, adjusting, and educating patients on lens options and frame styles
- Manage optical inventory including ordering, stocking, and maintaining product displays to ensure an appealing shopping workplace
- Provide expert advice on lens types,



coatings, and frame selections based on individual needs and preferences
- Process sales transactions accurately using retail POS systems.
- Educate patients on proper lens care and follow-up procedures to foster ongoing satisfaction and loyalty

Experience

- Previous experience in optical retail sales or as an optometric assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health enhances communication with patients and healthcare providers
- Laboratory experience with lens fabrication or adjustments is a valuable asset
- Familiarity with retail management principles helps in maintaining organized stock levels and visual merchandising standards
- Strong sales skills combined with a passion for delivering excellent customer service are essential for success in this role

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
