Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Packing Day Coordinator for the Positive Food Box program. In this role, you will lead the packing operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely assembly of food boxes for distribution. Your leadership will help maintain high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Duties

- Oversee all packing‑day setup, workflow, and cleanup
- Coordinate with the office team regarding schedules, packing lists, and volunteer needs
- Set up tables, packing stations, bags, and produce boxes
- Ensure accurate counting, sorting, and packaging of produce
- Provide direction and support to volunteers throughout the packing process
- Maintain a safe work environment and reinforce safety requirements (including closed‑toed shoes)
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and make effective decisions during busy packing periods




- Monitor packing flow to ensure efficiency and quality control
- Assist with lifting, bending, carrying, and moving boxes and supplies
- Communicate clearly with staff and volunteers to keep operations running smoothly

Qualifications & Skills

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong decision‑making abilities and quick thinking in fast‑paced environments
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
- Comfortable with bending, carrying, and physical tasks for extended periods
- Experience supervising volunteers or teams is an asset
- Reliable, positive, and able to motivate others
- Able to work independently and take initiative

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
