About Atelier Mirelia

Atelier Mirelia is a small home-based studio in Downtown Toronto creating sculptural balloon flower bouquets and balloon characters. Our pieces are designed with a muted, refined palette. They are gifts and keepsakes, not party decor.

About the Role

We're hiring a Part-Time Balloon Artist Assistant to help produce balloon bouquets. This is focused, hands-on production work with a steady, repeatable routine, done mostly in our studio. There are no large events or installations, and customer interaction is minimal, though you may occasionally help deliver orders or set up displays at partner locations. No prior balloon experience is required. We'll train you step by step.

This role requires direct, continuous handling of latex balloons throughout every shift, along with repetitive hand and finger movements and occasional loud balloon pops. Work is mostly seated at a worktable. Balloons are inflated with electric pumps.

What You'll Do

- Inflate, twist, and assemble latex balloons into flowers and bouquets, following our designs and colour palettes
- Prepare materials and keep the workspace organized
- Check each piece against our quality standards before it is packed
- Package finished pieces carefully for next-day pickup or delivery
- Occasionally help with local deliveries (paid time, by transit or on foot; no vehicle needed; TTC fares reimbursed)



or display setup at partner locations
- Keep all designs, colour palettes, and unreleased work confidential

What We're Looking For

- Patient, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with your hands
- Able to follow a process precisely and repeat it consistently
- Comfortable working independently for several hours in a quiet studio
- Reliable and punctual. Customer orders are planned around your scheduled shifts, so consistent attendance matters.
- Looking for a long-term part-time role
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

Schedule

- Training (first 2 weeks): paid at the regular rate, up to 4 shifts per week, 4-hour shifts between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Training shifts are scheduled around your availability and may include any weekday or Saturday.
- After training: typically 16 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 4-hour shifts between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Hours may be somewhat reduced during slower periods; we'll give as much notice as possible. Start times are set with you based on your availability and our production needs.
- Peak seasons: optional extra shifts may be available in December, February, May, and whenever order volume is high. These may include additional days or longer shifts (with meal breaks as required),



up to 24 hours per week in total.

Pay & Details

- Pay: $20.00 CAD/hour + 4% vacation pay
- Paid bi-weekly by direct deposit
- Probation: 3 months, including a 2-week paid training period
- Location: Private home studio in Downtown Toronto, a short walk from Wellesley Station. No pets on site. The exact address will be shared with candidates invited to the trial shift.
- Start date: Mid-to-late October 2026
