Parts Assistant
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and hardworking Parts Assistant to join our team.
This is a hands-on warehouse position supporting our parts department. The successful candidate will be responsible for shipping and receiving parts, preparing orders, organizing inventory, maintaining stock shelves, and keeping the warehouse and parts area clean and organized.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with their hands, and taking pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
Shipping
- Pick and prepare parts orders for shipment or customer pickup
- Package parts safely and securely
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and related paperwork
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and shipping information
- Track shipments and help resolve shipping issues when required
Receiving
- Receive incoming parts, stock orders, freight, and courier deliveries
- Check shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Sort and organize incoming parts
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies
- Label and put parts away in their proper locations
- Report shortages, damaged parts, or incorrect shipments
Parts & Warehouse Organization
- Maintain organized parts shelves and storage areas
- Keep inventory locations clean, clearly identified, and easy to access
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts
- Locate and move parts as required by the parts department
- Keep shipping supplies and warehouse areas organized
- Maintain a clean and safe work workplace
Local Deliveries & Pickups
- Make occasional local parts deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle
- Deliver parts to customers, suppliers, or other company locations
- Occasionally drive to the airport to drop off or pick up shipments
- Load and unload parts and packages safely
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and suppliers
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, parts, or inventory experience is an asset
- Parts or mechanical industry experience is an asset, but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Able to use a computer for basic data entry, email, shipping, and inventory tasks
- Able to read packing slips, purchase orders, and part numbers
- Good communication skills
- Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record
- Comfortable lifting and moving parts and packages
- Willingness to learn and take on different tasks as needed

You don't need to be an expert on parts when you start. The most important things are a good work ethic, attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to stay organized in a busy environment.
