Role Description The PCB Layout Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. This position is responsible for translating circuit designs into robust PCB layouts, including component placement, routing, and stack-up definition for a variety of industrial and off-highway applications. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with hardware engineers, reviewing schematics, performing design rule checks, and ensuring manufacturability and reliability of boards.

The role also involves coordinating physical verification, preparing fabrication and assembly documentation,



and working closely with manufacturing partners to resolve design and production issues. The PCB Layout Engineer contributes to continuous improvement of design standards, tools, and workflows to support high-performance, rugged electronic systems.

Qualifications

- Strong PCB layout skills, including Layout Design and experience with industry-standard EDA tools.
- Proficiency in Circuit Design, with the ability to interpret schematics and collaborate with hardware engineers.
- Knowledge of Analog and Analog Circuits, including best practices for noise reduction, grounding, and signal integrity.
- Experience with Physical Verification, including DRC, LVS (if applicable), and design-for-manufacturing checks.
- Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Ability to work on-site in Mississauga, ON and collaborate effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial, automotive, or off-highway electronics is an asset, along with familiarity with environmental and EMC requirements.
