About the Position

We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented person to join our team at Guardian, a pet cremation company dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets and their families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

This position is much more than a typical customer-service role. You will be working directly with grieving pet families, veterinary clinics, and our internal team, while also handling the important and sensitive responsibilities involved in pet aftercare.

The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely cares about animals, understands the importance of treating every pet with dignity and respect, and takes outstanding pride in getting the smallest details right.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Veterinary Clinic Care

· Greet and assist pet families with compassion and professionalism

· Receive pets brought in by families and veterinary clinics

· Handle client questions regarding cremation services, urns, keepsakes, and the return of ashes

· Provide a calm, caring experience for families during an emotional time

· Communicate with veterinary clinics regarding pet drop-offs, pickups, services, and special requests

· Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client inquiries

· Maintain a qualified and compassionate presence at all times

Pet Care & Cremation Responsibilities

· Receive and carefully handle pets who have passed away

· Prepare pets for cremation according to established procedures

· Handle cremated remains with care and respect

· Prepare ashes for return to pet families

· Fill urns and keepsakes with cremated remains when required

· Maintain a clean, organized,

· Comfortable handling pets who have passed away and working with cremated remains

· Able to follow procedures carefully and consistently

· Comfortable using computers and learning new software

· Able to work independently while also being a strong team member

· Physically capable of performing the duties associated with handling and moving pets, able to lift 50 pounds

· Comfortable working in an environment where the work can be emotionally difficult at times
