About the Opportunity

IPH is looking for experienced Plumbers / Pipefitters to join our team in Kamloops and the surrounding area. We are seeking high-level apprentices and Red Seal Journeypersons who bring strong technical skills, take pride in quality workmanship, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a larger project team.

This position will involve the installation, maintenance and modification of plumbing, piping and mechanical systems across a variety of commercial, institutional and industrial projects. We are looking for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are comfortable working across both plumbing and pipefitting scopes as project needs require.

What You Will Do

- Install, maintain and modify plumbing, piping and mechanical systems in accordance with project drawings, specifications and applicable codes.
- Install domestic water, sanitary, storm, drainage and venting systems.
- Install process piping, hydronic piping, heating and cooling piping, valves, pumps and related mechanical equipment.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, solder and assemble piping using a variety of materials and joining methods.
- Complete pipe layout,



fit-up and installation of piping systems and associated components.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, mechanical plans, specifications, isometrics and related project documents.
- Install plumbing fixtures, valves and mechanical equipment as required.
- Perform pressure testing, flushing and commissioning of completed systems.
- Troubleshoot plumbing and piping system issues and complete repairs or modifications as required.
- Coordinate with forepersons, project teams and other trades to support efficient project execution.
- Identify potential installation conflicts and communicate issues before they impact project progress.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship while meeting project schedules and expectations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior apprentices when required.
- Follow IPH's safety policies, procedures and safe work practices at all times.
- Perform other related duties consistent with the role, skills and level of responsibility as required.

About You

- Registered Plumber or Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentice with significant trade experience, or Red Seal Journeyperson certification in either trade.
- Experience working across both plumbing and pipefitting scopes is considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, piping and mechanical systems, including piping materials, fittings, valves and installation methods.
- Able to confidently read and interpret mechanical drawings, plans, specifications and isometrics.




- Comfortable laying out work, identifying required materials and completing installations with minimal supervision.
- Experience with commercial, institutional or industrial mechanical projects is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction site practices and coordination with other mechanical and building trades.
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for assigned work.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Takes pride in producing accurate, clean and high-quality work.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset, actively seeks and applies constructive feedback, and is willing to adapt to evolving industry practices and technologies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physically capable of performing the requirements of the trade, including lifting and maneuvering materials, working from ladders and lifts, and working in active construction environments.

Pay: $34.00-$52.00 per hour
