Maritime-Ontario Freight Lines Limited (M-O) is seeking an experienced and motivated PM Dispatcher – Linehaul & City Operations to join our Montreal terminal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating evening outbound linehaul departures and city pickup and delivery operations. Working closely with our dock staff, drivers, owner-operators and terminals across Canada, you will play a key role in ensuring freight moves efficiently and according to established service schedules.

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive individual who thrives in a quick-paced transportation environment, communicates effectively and takes ownership of daily dispatch operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate outbound linehaul dispatch, ensuring trailers and containers depart according to established service schedules.

· Manage evening city dispatch operations, including driver assignments, pickups, deliveries and equipment requirements.

· Work closely with dock personnel to prioritize loading and ensure freight is ready for scheduled departures.

· Communicate with other M-O terminals across Canada to coordinate freight connections and resolve service-related issues.

· Monitor driver progress and proactively address delays, missed connections and operational challenges.

· Coordinate owner-operators and contracted carriers to ensure efficient equipment utilization.

· Maintain accurate dispatch records and update shipment information in our TruckMate transportation management system.

· Communicate service exceptions and operational concerns to terminal management.





· Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company safety policies and operating procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

· Previous dispatch experience in an LTL, truckload or intermodal transportation environment is preferred.

· Strong understanding of city pickup and delivery operations and outbound linehaul scheduling.

· Experience coordinating owner-operators and independent fleets.

· Excellent organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions under pressure.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with TruckMate is considered an asset.

· Strong communication skills in French and English to coordinate with our Montreal operations and terminals across Canada.
