Experienced Surveillance Investigator – Edmonton & Northern Alberta

Progress Investigations is seeking experienced surveillance investigators to join our growing Alberta operations team. We are looking for motivated, professional investigators capable of conducting high-level covert surveillance assignments throughout Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

This role is best suited for investigators who are self-directed, highly observant, organized, and capable of working independently in dynamic field environments.

We are not seeking entry-level security personnel. We are looking for experienced surveillance operators who understand mobile and static surveillance, detailed field documentation, evidence continuity, and professional client expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Conduct covert static and mobile surveillance assignments
- Operate independently and collaboratively on complex investigations
- Capture high-quality video evidence and detailed investigative notes
- Prepare accurate, professional surveillance reports
- Communicate directly with case managers throughout investigations
- Travel throughout Edmonton and Northern Alberta as required
- Maintain professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality at all times

What We’re Looking For

- Valid Alberta Private Investigator Licence
- Minimum 3 years surveillance experience preferred




- Strong mobile surveillance and observational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong report writing and documentation skills
- Working knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation
- Experience operating covert surveillance equipment and camcorders
- Strong navigation, situational awareness, and decision-making abilities
- Comfortable working flexible and irregular hours
- Reliable personal vehicle suitable for surveillance operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital reporting platforms

Compensation Compensation is competitive and based on surveillance experience, licensing, equipment, and operational capability.
