JOB LOCATION: 165 Line 4 South, Oro-Medonte - Just 10 minutes north of Barrie (Public Transportation is not available)

PURPOSE:

The Production Manager provides leadership for all production activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent delivery of quality products that meet customer requirements. The role is accountable for operational performance, workforce effectiveness, resource utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives that support MPC's quality, delivery, productivity, and business objectives while fostering a positive and engaged team culture.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Work safely and ensure compliance with all MPC rules, policies, procedures, work instructions, and applicable legislation.
- Motivate and engage Team Members, support positive morale, promote MPC’s culture and core values, and foster a strong, respectful relationship between Team Members and MPC.
- Lead production operations to achieve customer, quality, delivery, productivity, and business objectives.
- Develop, support, and hold Team Members accountable for performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize operational performance through effective planning, resource management, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and operational standards while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead production operations to achieve customer requirements, quality standards, production targets, and business objectives.
- Provide leadership to the production team.
- Drive operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.




- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

MANAGERIAL DUTIES

- Prioritize the safety of all Team Members and ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and promote safe work practices, ensuring required training is completed and documented.
- Model and enforce compliance with all MPC policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF 16949 requirements, including adherence to procedures, documentation, and work instructions.
- Lead, coach, and develop production Team Members to achieve departmental and company objectives.
- Communicate policies, procedures, expectations, schedules, and organizational updates effectively.
- Manage training programs and training matrices, ensuring Team Members are trained and competent to perform their work safely and effectively.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and address performance concerns when necessary.
- Foster Team Member engagement, retention, participation, and alignment with MPC's culture and core values.
- Clearly communicate responsibilities and expectations while promoting accountability and career development.
- Allocate resources and develop contingency plans to meet customer requirements and production objectives.
- Monitor departmental performance through KPIs, audits, and operational metrics, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Champion 5S, standardized work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and support Lessons Learned, NCR investigations and problem solving activity.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to support company objectives.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company information, discussions, and decisions.
- Attend scheduled meetings and communicate in advance when attendance is not possible.
- Maintain organized records and documentation relevant to the role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage daily production operations and ensure delivery, quality, productivity, and shipping requirements are achieved.
- Control and optimize labour, equipment,



and machine resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement workflow improvements that increase efficiency while maintaining product quality and safety.
- Anticipate production issues and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and maintain customer commitments.
- Monitor production performance and analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Develop and implement actions to reduce scrap, improve uptime and improve productivity.
- Support and participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives that contribute to improvement of operational performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership
- Experience working in automotive manufacturing preferred
- Experience working in plastic injection molding.
- Post Secondary Education in a related field an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding time management and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn new relevant technology.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
