Job Summary

Our Delta, BC location of Zodiac Hurricane Technologies is currently hiring Production Workers for our Tube and Collar Shop Department. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday through Friday starting at 6:00 AM, with occasional overtime opportunities.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling components used in the production of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) in a quick-paced manufacturing environment.

We are seeking individuals with a positive mindset and strong attention to detail who can work efficiently under pressure to meet production deadlines. Candidates must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work with strong-smelling adhesives and chemicals on a regular basis.

Manufacturing or production experience is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who are eager to learn. You will be cross-trained across multiple tasks within the department and contribute to products that meet ISO 9001 quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Read and follow drawing instructions for production of tube and collar for a boat
- Mark and prepare fabric materials
- Gluing fabric and components onto a tube
- Using hand tools to complete work and tasks assigned with time restraints in mind
- Ensure work meets quality standards and workmanship requirements
- Following and understanding the direction and instructions of supervisors and team leaders while working independently and collaboratively with fellow team members, supervisors, and engineers
- Attaining daily quality and delivery targets through standardized work
- Following company standard requirements and adhering to policies and procedures on safety and quality protocols
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work area
- Completing paperwork as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

- Minimum of Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills




- Capable of understanding and willingness to learn new things including manufacturing drawings
- Capable of working with strong smelling chemicals and glue (e.g., MEK)
- Capable of problem solving and decision making
- Familiar with the use of basic hand tools for cutting, buffing and gluing
- Experience assembling and building products using hand tools is an asset
- Manufacturing and/or production experience is an asset, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with the capability of lifting a minimum 23 kgs (50 lbs) on a regular basis
- Steel toe work boots are required
