We're currently seeking a Project Engineer to support a growing natural gas compression equipment manufacturer in the Calgary area.

About the Role

This is an in office position based in the Calgary area. You'll work closely with engineering, fabrication, and project management teams to support the design, execution, and delivery of compressor packages from order through to shipment and field commissioning. This includes managing technical scope, coordinating with suppliers and internal departments, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and to client specification.

Key Responsibilities

- Support project engineering activities across the full lifecycle of gas compression package builds — from design review through fabrication, testing, and shipment
- Coordinate with design, procurement, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Review and interpret P&IDs;, GA drawings, and technical specifications
- Track project schedules, costs, and deliverables,



flagging risks and variances as they arise
- Liaise directly with clients and vendors on technical and project status matters
- Support commissioning and field service teams as needed during startup
- Assist in preparing technical documentation, data books, and project close-out packages

What You Bring
- 4+ years of project engineering experience, ideally in oil & gas, natural gas compression, or industrial equipment manufacturing
- Mechanical or industrial engineering background (degree or diploma)
- Familiarity with reciprocating, rotary screw, or rotary vane compressor packages an asset
- Working knowledge of P&IDs;, GA drawings, and mechanical/piping specifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office, and standard project documentation tools

Assets
- P.Eng. designation
- Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Familiarity with API, ASME, or CSA standards relevant to compression equipment
