YANDA CANADA is currently looking for a motivated Scheduler / Project Planner to support project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking for our fabrication yard and construction projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with project management, construction teams, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure schedules are accurate, progress is properly tracked, and project deadlines are supported.

Location: Fort Saskatchewan Fabrication Yard & Project Construction Sites, Alberta

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6
- Collect and verify weekly progress from supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, engineering, and construction teams
- Track actual start/finish dates, completion percentages, manpower, materials, equipment, and project constraints
- Prepare weekly and short-term look-ahead schedules
- Compare actual progress against baseline schedules and identify delays or variances
- Monitor critical-path activities and assist with schedule recovery plans
- Maintain progress reports, manpower forecasts, dashboards, and supporting documentation
- Attend progress meetings and provide clear scheduling updates
- Coordinate fabrication-yard activities with transportation and site installation requirements.





Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 is mandatory
- Approximately 2–5 years of planning, scheduling, or project-controls experience
- Experience in fabrication, industrial construction, oil & gas, or modular construction is preferred
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, progress measurement, and critical-path scheduling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Power BI experience is an asset
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to details
- Comfortable working directly with both fabrication-yard and construction-site teams

Preferred Experience Experience with SAGD modules, piping fabrication, structural steel, mechanical installation, electrical & instrumentation, or industrial modular construction is considered an asset.
