PsycIME prepares independent psychiatric assessment reports for insurers, law firms and other referral sources. We are looking for an experienced quality assurance specialist with excellent judgment, strong writing skills and the ability to read complex clinical documents closely.

This role involves reviewing reports for clarity, accuracy, consistency and completeness. You will refine language while preserving the assessor’s intended meaning, identify discrepancies and flag points that require clarification.

Experience in medico-legal and psychiatric reporting is a significant asset. Editorial backgrounds in publishing or copy editing can also transfer well, provided you bring the same careful reading, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

PsycIME is based in Ontario, with a team working remotely across Canada.

What we need

· A strong editorial background. You have substantial experience in copy editing and proofreading, whether in publishing or in medico-legal or clinical documents.

· An experienced, attentive reader. You can follow a lengthy document, track details, and spot missing, inconsistent, or unclear information.

· A sure hand with language.



You can rebuild an awkward passage from the ground up and express a complex clinical point in plain English without altering its meaning or losing detail.

· Accuracy that goes beyond spelling and grammar. You notice when a date is off by a day, a name changes, or a conclusion does not match the information presented - and you check the source rather than assume.

· Sound editorial and clinical judgment. You can follow an assessor's reasoning well enough to know what you can correct yourself and what needs referral for clarification.

· Reliable, independent work. You can maintain thoroughness and steady output while meeting turnaround deadlines from home.

Compensation is competitive and will reflect experience.
