Role Description
Times Property Management is looking for a Property Accountant to support financial and accounting activities for the condominium corporations that we serve.
The Property
Accountant is responsible for the accurate recording of all accounting transactions and timely preparation of all financial statements.
The Property
Accountant reports directly to the Head of Finance and is assigned a portfolio of properties managed by Times Property Management. To be considered for this position, you must have prior condominium accounting experience, including full-cycle general accounting and financial statement preparation.

Accountant will work out of our head office location in Richmond Hill.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and send monthly financial statements to condominium managers
- Prepare month-end bank reconciliations
- Review accounting records and transactions and make corrections or adjustments as necessary
- Post and process financial transactions in our accounting software
- Assist condominium managers in preparing the annual budget
- Support our external auditors through the annual audit, including preparing audit documents and records and posting audit adjustment entries
- Support the management team with internal financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring accounting and reporting workflows
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting
- 4+ years of general accounting experience, including building spreadsheets for financial analysis and reporting
- 2+ years of condominium accounting experience, including preparing monthly financial statements for condominium corporations and working with operating and reserve funds
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Strong technology aptitude — comfortable learning current systems quickly and using AI tools to speed up routine accounting and reporting work, with appropriate review of the output
- Ability to handle full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month end and year end closing activities
- Familiarity with financial auditing processes
- Sound understanding of GAAP
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- A driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred
- Experience with CondoManager is preferred; experience with comparable condominium accounting software (eg. Yardi) is an asset
